Health and Safety

Safety at the forefront

We know we sometimes work in hazardous and dangerous environments. We know that this can place our staff and our customers at risk. Workplace health and safety is all about sensibly managing risks to protect our workers and your staff and business. Good health and safety management is characterised by strong leadership involving directors, managers, workers, suppliers, contractors, and customers.

This ‘all in’ approach ensures that everybody is aware of the role they can play in always making the workplace a safe place to be.

Our focus

To adhere to the regulations and procedures intended to prevent accidents or injury in workplaces or public environments.

Method Statements

The method statement is an effective way of providing information to employees about how we expect work to be carried out and the precautions that should be taken. This should be unique to the environment in which they are working, and the type of work being undertaken but should remain consistent with the business’s best working practices. If necessary, we would create a site-specific method statement.

Risk Assessments

Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the minimum we must do is assess risk as part of the overall process used to control risks in the workplace. However, we go much further than that by using our Method Statements, Risk Assessment and Company Policies, and Training programs to ensure that we meet and exceed our obligations under the legislation.

Policies

When an organisation has clear company policies, both employees and employers benefit. Outlining employees’ rights and expectations within our company helps set behavioural and performance standards for the workplace and gives employees an overall framework of how to be successful. Workplace policies help to protect the business and contribute to a safe and more enjoyable work environment for everyone.

Training

Comprehensive training allows us to increase the knowledge and skills of an employee for doing a particular job. It seeks to improve the job performance and behaviour of those trained. We then provide the necessary information to newly appointed employees to help them become adjusted to the jobs assigned to them, allowing us to bridge the gap between existing levels and desired levels of competence and performance for our employees.

Legislation

Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the minimum we must do is to assess risk as part of the overall process used to control risks in the workplace. We go much further than that through the use of our Method Statements, Risk Assessment, Policies, and Training programs. We can ensure that we meet and exceed our obligations under the legislation, ensuring the safety of both our Customers and Staff is not undermined.

Quality Assurance

Quality assurance (QA) is any systematic process of determining whether a product or service meets specified requirements. Please refer to the Quality Assurance section of this website to learn more about our commitments here. Suffice it to say that Quality is at the heart of everything we undertake. We will strive tirelessly to improve everything we do every day, in every way to maintain and improve our Business and to help better serve how we support yours.
